I’ve been neglecting this blog for far too long. Here it is, Christmas Day, 2021, and we are approaching the start of another new year. The COVID pandemic has worn us all down these past two years, and I know we’re all holding onto hope that it will be over soon. We hoped for the same thing last year, of course, which is why we need to remember to be happy with what we have in the here and now. For family and true friends. For music and books and movies and art of all kinds. For science and food. For knowledge and laughter and love. For chocolate.
I thought I’d maybe make you smile with this video I threw together recently. It’s a very basic video, I might add, because learning how to use the video editing software is something I’ve only just started to learn in some of my far too infrequent free time. The audio is a song I recorded in 2004 or 2005, with a jazz guitarist from Chicago named John Walsh. Not my best singing, but it is what it is. The video consists of some quick snapshots I took around the house last week.
Enjoy, and here’s to a brighter 2022.
