My Short Review of Greenwich Park

I won an advanced reader copy of this thriller in a Goodreads Giveaway. I enjoyed the story, though I did find some stuff kind of odd, such as the over-use of the word “alien” (6 times – maybe some synonyms could have been used?). Also, there is a part where Helen makes her husband a cup of tea, sits it on his bedside table, and then he picks up the COFFEE. Um… that’s kind of a big error. I re-read the section to see if I missed her making coffee as well, but don’t see it.

There’s also a part where 2 couples are skinny dipping… a brother and sister with their partners. I find it odd that grown brother and sister would skinny dip together, and then to get odder, he sits his sister on his shoulders in the water… just creepy and inapropriate and I thought it must be a clue to something, but no, it wasn’t. It was just strange.

There are some good twists, some foreshadowing, some clues, and all of that was well done. Just the few oddities that made me give it a 3 star instead of a 4 star.
