About Shannon

Shannon received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology at Acadia University. She has a long history in the music industry, having worked with bands, publishers, record labels and recording studios in Nashville, TN. She was the royalty administrator and bookkeeper for the world famous Sun Records; the executive assistant to the manager of country icon Hank Williams, Jr.; and the background vocalist on 2 projects for Plantation Records (the label that produced the title hit from the movie “Harper Valley PTA” in the 60s). She has recorded with famous fiddler, Buddy Spicher; Lyle Lovett’s steel player;  B.J. Thomas’s pianist; Joe Nichols’ bassist; Crystal Gayle’s guitarist; Wynonna Judd’s drummer; and a member of the Pirates of the Mississippi. Her original songs have received airplay in three countries. In spite of her history with country music, she’s always been a rocker at heart, and can often be found blasting rock and pop music when home alone. In 2013, she published a psychological horror novella (under the pseudonym Noelle MacLeod), and returned to her homeland of Nova Scotia. Though she sometimes misses the excitement of her various positions in Music City (doing things like attending parties with Ray Stevens and Sam Phillips, and making tea for Hank Jr.), she is super glad to be back home. Shannon is now busy working on a novel.
